1. General.

You and Gibsons Hotel agree on the terms of the room rental. Unless a special agreement has been reached, the following rules apply. 


2. Booking and confirmation.

A booking is binding as it has been confirmed and you have received a booking number. You can get it verbally, in writing or via the booking system. When booking, you must provide name, telephone number, address, e-mail address. It is important that you provide your email address so that you can receive your booking confirmation and so that you can check out online. To book a room at a Gibsons Hotell, you must be at least 18 years old. If you book the room for a minor, you are responsible regardless of whether you are staying in the room with the minor or not. Minors under the age of 18 are not allowed to stay overnight unless accompanied by a guardian. A certificate giving permission is not enough. For security reasons, we only allow our employees and checked-in guests to stay freely in hotel rooms or other reserved premises.


3. Cancellation and non-arrival.

Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking, cancellation must take place no later than 12:00 (local time for the hotel) the day before arrival. If you do not show up or cancel later than 12:00 local time the day before arrival, you will be charged for one night's accommodation. If the hotel has incurred special costs due to your booking, you will be obliged to reimburse them.


4. Early departure and indefinite stay.

If you have booked a room for a certain time period but the departure takes place earlier, this may result in price adjustments. Contact the hotel to notify of your departure. If you are staying at the hotel for an indefinite period of time and extend your stay one night at a time, you must notify us of your departure no later than 18.00 the day before departure. Otherwise you have to pay an extra night. If the hotel has no rooms available, the hotel must inform you of this no later than 18.00 the day before you have to leave the hotel.


5. The hotel's obligations and your wishes.

f the hotel cannot offer you a room as agreed, you have the right to receive an equivalent or better room at the hotel or at a hotel of equivalent standard at no additional cost. Inform the hotel staff of any requests you have when making your reservation so that the hotel can be prepared for your stay. The hotel is completely non-smoking. In case of violation of the smoking ban, the hotel has the right to charge the customer for consequential costs. If you want to bring your pet with you, please inform us of this when booking.


6. Liability in case of damage.

In case of damage or smoking in the room and other spaces, the customer will be charged the cost of the damage. This also applies to pets in rooms where any damage caused by the animal will be charged to the customer for consequential costs.


7. Payment.

Full payment takes place in connection with booking. In case of cancellation before 12:00 (local time of the hotel) the day before, the full amount will be refunded.


8. Storage of valuables and luggage.

Do not leave valuables or luggage unattended during check-in/check-out, breakfast or while waiting for a taxi. For security reasons, the hotel has no obligation to store items that are of high value or items that could endanger the hotel's staff or other guests. The hotel has no strict responsibility for items that you store in the hotel room or in the luggage room.


9. Your own safety.

Always familiarize yourself with emergency exits, alarm buttons and fire extinguishers.
